New Music: Burna Boy – Rockstar

BurnaBoy - rockstar

New Year… New Label for Burna Boy!

I am not too sure what exactly has happened over at Aristokrat Records but their biggest artist has left and found something new.

Burna Boy gives off this cool mellow reggae vibe whilst talking about his fast life on new single Rockstar. Produced by Chopstix the single juxstaposes strong lyrics alongside a very simple reggae melody.

Even though he released quite a few songs last year (Don Gorgon to name one) I do think that something about Burna did not give off that staying factor.. Maybe his new label will put in some extra work in and Burna will release hits that give him that staying factor even when new music is not being released.

Rockstar is available over on iTunes..

New Video: Sarkodie – Revenge of the Spartans

Sarkodie had a great 2014 and by the looks of things he does not seem to be slowing down.. He kicks off the year with visuals to one of his latest freestyles Revenge of the Spartans. I must say the quality and imagery of this video makes me happy. I’m happy to see Ghanaian artist spending more on the quality of their videos as it shows that they are taking things much more seriously now and want to compete with some of the big boys from larger nations, it’s a good look and if anyone can do it, it’s the best rapper in Africa! Check out the David Nicol-Sey directed video.

Ready for a M3gye Wo Girl video featuring Shatta! It’s only right..
